The city continues to update the facility, adding Rip City Batting cages in 1992 and a courtside ramada in 1996. Further construction in 2001 included the tennis courts and skate park, and the park underwent significant improvements in 2013, including new ballfield lights and a playground structure with shade.

Picnics can be enjoyed in six shaded picnic areas, seven open picnic areas, and 3 reservable ramadas. The picnic areas also have tables and barbecue grills available for use.

If your kids love trains, they’ll adore this park. You’ll find miniature trains to ride around and a mini Ferris wheel.
The merry-go-round is fun and there’s also a train museum. It’s a very affordable place and a good way to spend an afternoon.
